    Good morning Jackobians.

    In this thread, you'll learn how to edit hosts files on your android device. Kindly follow the steps below to get started.

    Install ES File Explorer.
    If you don’t already have this app installed on your Android, you can get it free from the Play Store @ ES File Explorer File Manager - Android Apps on Google Play

    You must have a rooted Android to edit the hosts file.
    • If a pop-up appears requesting permission to access files, tap ALLOW.
    • Tap Internal Storage. This opens a list of files and folders on your Android.
    • Navigate to the root directory.To do this, swipe to the right on the top navigation bar until you see the “/” symbol.
    • Tap /. It’s near the top-left corner of the screen below the “≡” icon.
    • Scroll down and tap the systemfolder.
    • Tap the etc folder.
    • Scroll down and tap hosts. It’s one of the gray icons with a “?” inside. The “Open as” dialog will appear.
    You can search for this file by typing “hosts” into the search bar at the top of the screen.
    • Tap Text. A list of apps will appear.
    • Tap ES Note Editor. This opens the hosts file.
    • Tap Edit. It’s at at the top of the screen. You can now make changes to the file.
    • Make changes to the hosts file. Add or remove hosts as necessary.
    • Tap Save. It’s near the top-right corner of the screen. If prompted to grant permission, tap ALLOW.
    Tap the back button. Your changes to the host file are now saved.
